Welcome and congratulations on being curious about a new addition to your home!
My name is Nick, and I have a passion for creating beautifully customized pieces that enhance the enjoyment of your home. I have built all of the items showcased below and I alone perform all of the work needed for your project. I do not limit myself to any one type of project or specialty, but I prefer to build things with wood because every result is unique. Take a look at what I’ve built already and if you don’t see something similar to what you’re looking for then reach out and we can discuss what’s possible. I don’t shy away from a challenge, but I also don’t over-promise my own abilities.
I limit the number of projects I take on so that I can put my focus on providing top quality work rather than trying to maximize my output. I take great PRIDE in my work and only provide a finished product that exceeds my expectations. If I do something wrong (which I have done, and will inevitably continue to do), I go back and do it again. I continue to take on new projects and expand my scope. More than once I’ve said to myself, “well, let’s see how this goes”. Sometimes it goes as planned, and other times I learn how not to do something.
Dream: This first step is one that you have already initiated. You came to this page and have read this far because you want to add something new to your home. Tell me about this dream addition and we’ll figure out if I’m the right person to help make it real. It’s great if you have pictures of examples you’ve seen that you’d like. We can go through all of the necessary decisions so I know how you want things - because I’ve learned that if you don’t tell a builder exactly how you want something, they will decide for you. I can offer suggestions from my experiences creating similar projects.
Design: Planning is the most important part of the project. This is putting the dream on paper so that I know all of the pieces needed, and you can have a better idea how the outcome will look. We don’t just figure out the specification, but also how it’s going to fit into your home (both functionally and literally). The outcome of this phase should be an image of the final product and a shared understanding of this goal.
Build: Depending on the size of the project, I will either spend my time doing the work in my workshop, or in your home for larger pieces/installs. I want to respect your home and your family, so we’ll agree on what kind of schedule works best. The end goal is that we are both fully satisfied with the final product.
